Default Question for those who have a stall converter.

When it shifts(1-2 & 2-3) what rpm does it drop to? Please include what gears you have also. Thanks.

Shifting at 6K, my yank 3000 drops down to about 4K with 3.73.

Shifting at 6000 rpm, Transgo Shift kit(2-washer), modified pump and line pressure, 4:10 gears, 26" tire, PI Vig 3200 str 2.55 upstalled to 3500.
naturally aspirated drops to 4100 and on the bottle 4400-4600 (dependant on jetting) converter unlocked. lock-up will cause a immediate drop of nearly 500-600 rpm at cruise and 100-200 at wot.

Curious about " lock-up", I have a yank 3000 going in soon and was wondering what the difference is between unlocked and lock-up?
