Yes you can use the existing electronics and the Radix 5.3 would definetly be stronger.

You can use the stock 5.3 computer, but you need to get it retuned to accomodate the different volumetric effeciency of having .7 more cubes. It will run with the 5.3 tune, just not well.

This is my plan! I just bought the first piece of my LQ9 from grippy, and I am planning on swapping everything I can over from the 5.3

It all depends on how much TM you want to remove! Some peeps go all the way on remove 100% of TM and their stock trannys of held up. Other members, like me, would recommend to remove like 80% of TM removed so the tranny can hold up. But just get servos and a HD Transgo kit and that should help the tranny out for a while. You should get different answers from other members.

Yes, I belive removing the EGR should be no problem with emmissions!

Texas Emissions test is done through the OBDII for those that have it. They hook it up and if they do not see any codes you get your sticker. Some things can be shutoff and then the emissions test will not see them. Just watch for the white vans on the side of the road, do a shut down coast through if you know you aren't passing

Let me get this right, you are asking about MPG on a performance sight????? Jokes aside, with just a Nelson Hot Tune and keeping the foot out of it I could/can get close to 18hwy.
