Now, if the OP is looking to get better quality stainless headers, then stepping up to the 1 7/8 at the same time is a good move. Especially if he plans on spraying it later. But that wasn't the way I read the first post. I thought he was asking about the gains vs dollar, and if it's worth doing.
the headers helped the 6.0 out on motor. truck guys and fbody guys dont think the same. However following the methods of a fbody helps greatly in performance

a high 230s/240s cam, 4400 stall, 456 at minimal with 1 7/8 will work great with his combo. should take him from a low 12 to mid 11s

Was it the headers? Or the intake, throttle body, cam, heads, & headers that made the difference?

You can't tell that dude anything, he talks like it's his truck. Obviously it's all the parts added together that makes skeets truck fast. And regency must be doing something right considering he's already running high 11's N/A...

Yea it runs pretty good, im just wanting to get some more out of it. I wish i could get my hands on a set of 1 7/8 headers to test out and decide whether i want to buy em or not.

Now dont get me wrong i could just go out and buy a good set of heads and a bigger cam and the larger headers and prolly wake it up some more, but im starting to get back into the mood of racing the truck and modding it again so im goin to take it easy for now. Thats why i asked the ?'s like i did, so i wouldnt just go out and start buying stuff again.
