Default Quick Lifter Question!

Got my motor back today and i was puttin it back together and noticed there was holes on one side of the lifter..my dad pulled these out and we didnt really pay much attention when we pulled them out...do these need to be turned a certain way??

I don't think it matters. I usually point them into the flow of oil. Seems like they may fill a little faster.

The hole is in the recessed area of the lifter. Which allows flow around the lifter and on to the next one. It doesn't matter which way the hole is turned.

i just put the stock ones back in..here in a few months im going to try and get my hands on some 243 heads and ill prolly go with the ls7 lifters

I was just going to recommend that. lol... If you are a fan of RPM's the new caddy racing lifters look pretty good too....

That's what I'm running with my 370 build. Wish the 243s were P&P'd though.

I read more about those caddy lifters after I bought my LS7s, they do look nice! But I'm sure th LS7s will be just fine too though
