Default Quiet mufflers for grandpa????

My grandpa has a stock 2006 silverado with volant CAI. He is keeping the stock manifold and NOT doing headers, no matter what I say. He does have my old nickle plated chrome tips already, and our exhaust shop said all tubing and welding for $200-250.

He wants to run true duals with 2.5" and x or h pipe. He wants it as quiet as stock in the truck just a small rumble out side.

I was thinking a big 22" magnaflow dual inlet and outlet. Come with a stock built in x pipe. This might be a little bassy and droney though.

What mufflers do yall think?

Add 3" resonators in the rear of that system and keep the 2.5" pipes. Will mellow the sound but keep the rumble out back.

Didn't think about resonators, any good brands you recommend for the money? Don't need the best and dont want crap.

I have a friend with 4.8L LTs, y pipe, and corsa dumped. Truck sounds awesome at idle and 2000rpms and under. Once it hits 2000+rpms thing sounds like a raspy cut-out.

Magnaflow is one option for quietness any others?

Check out the Flo-Pro Big Oval mufflers they are exactly for the setup your trying to achieve. They are factory replacements and offer a nice tone.

I have 1 3/4 pacesetters, ory, Dynomax Bullet, and a Magnaflow 12579 22" SI/SO (3") muffler and it is quiet as hell. You can hear my cam when you first start it up outside of the truck, but inside you can't hear it unless you get on it!

Just get a stock duramax muffler, I love the sound of mine, quiet but has a little tone and is 3.5 inch all the way through
