Racetronix Dual In-tank Install (long)
The job took about 4 hours total, and this was completely relaxing and not busting any ***** at all. Basically, all you do is disconnect the evaporative junk on the front side of the tank and then disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connections. Next, the two bolts are removed that secure the tank-straps and then the whole tank can drop to the floor. I cleaned around the top of the pump module the best I could with a vac and then compressed air after that. The old pump module pops out and the new one sets down in place. At this point I ran the wire harness and connected all of the electrical. There was quite a bit of extra harness left, I guess so that the pump could be run in applications requiring more length than my shortbed. The principle of operation is that one pump runs all the time just like stock and then the second pump is run via a pressure switch that kicks in at 5psi, although I have yet to hook up the switch(winter in alaska). With one jumper removed so that only one pump would run, I turned the key to the first position, and the pressure immediatly jumped up to the regulator pressure... my old pump reqired turning the key several cycles to pressure the system, I was impressed. It fired right up and I noticed that the pressure sat about 5psi higher than it did at idle with the stock pump (about 55psi). Next, just for fun I put the jumper in for the second pump and the pressure instantly rocketed to 85+ psi!! I am confident this pump is not going to prove to be the bottleneck in my fuel system.
Overally, a very nice, high quality kit that was easy to install. I almost just wanted to keep looking at this kit in the box it is so nice, I have had it for a while now just waiting. The pumps seem really quiet also, much better than a noisy in-line right under the driver door. This kit is not a hack job at all very much plug-and-play!! I'll have to wait to post my pics, because they are all too large for the kb limits!

DP systems are for rare hardcore custom applications.
If you want a DP that is a different story.
