Radix and 2.8" Pulley Questions
I'm looking at buying an 02 Silverado with the 5.3L, and I'm curious about the Magnacharger Radix kit.
I was wondering, if I go with it and the 2.8" Pulley that Lingenfelter sells, along with the Lingenfelter GT2-3 Cam: 207/220 .573"/.580" 118.5 LSA, would that be too much for the stock 5.3, boost-wise? Or, is that pulley more for the 6.0L? Belt slippage?
What sort of power would I be looking at on an otherwise stock truck?440+rwhp?
Should I upgrade to a 2800-3000 stall?
Could I run such a setup, if I put true duals?
Thanks for any advice, I'll certainly call some tuners after I have the truck in hand, until then, I'm looking for advice from people who have similar setups to help me gauge whether or not that would work.

the 2.8 will make about 12.5 pounds of boost on the 5.3, not a good pump gas combo any way you slice it.

I agree ... that might be a little to agressive to start off with, but definantly an option later down the road.
I'm still not convinced on that cam yet. I would prefer a lot less split, or more intake duration.

The ligenfelter cam you speak of would work well with the stall you mention. Could probably step into a larger with a stall. All in what you want.

I've also read that somewhere around 10 psi and you start running out of intercooler capacity and don't gain to much power due to the IAT's. Would definately take some agressive tuning for the boost.

that is kinda like the zo6 cam i believe the most recent is 207/219 or something similar you will end up losing a couple of pound feet of torque based off of my friends results but gain a ton of top end off of it.... it will be a very mild mannered cam and prbably idle close to stock with that i would definately recommend a converter i like my 3k and the top end will rip **** as far as the pulley i say go for it but it is pretty damn big so make sure you have a GOOD tune

If you get a 2800-3000 stall just remember you lose power to the ground so the #'s wont as high as just say a stock verter or a lil over stock BUT when you go the track you will notice the difference and be running the times-stall will make you lose power but you make it up in 1/4 mile. Trust me i know it happend to em on the truck!!!! Im losing about 30-35rwhp since i have a 3200 stall but the blower loves it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm running a 2.75" pulley seeing close to 15lbs in cool weather. I dyno'd at 409 hp (see mods below) and 540 ft/lb of torque. Peak HP was just over 4k, when it begun detonating a little bit. HP was climbing steadily, then at 4k (when we could hear audible deton) hp leveled off then begun to fall. My timing is about 14 degrees. I may switch to a larger pulley, although that was running 91 octane. Need to begin hunting 93 (sinclair is all that carries it around me)
