Question Radix heat exchanger

Sitting here waiting for the winter weather to subside so I can install my Radix, and doing some research. Does anyone have pictures, or install info on the relocated heat exchanger on the Gibbs trucks? I have the kit to relocate it to the lower valence panel, and thought somebody might be ably help me see this a little clearer. I'm sure I could figure it out, but it's cold out, and my garage's not heated, so I'm doing pre-install research. Thanks

Heres a top view with the gille taken off

This shows how to arrange the spacers and notice the black plastic behind the h/e - you may want to trim off excess thats hanging behind the h/e or zip tie it up to allow more airflow through the exchanger

This shows the basic arrangment of the pump on the drivers side bracket. After you get the brackets secured, you may need to grab hold of both brackets and bend them down slightly so the pump will clear the frame.

And this is the finished installation

Thumbs up

OhHHH you relocate the coolant pump, too. That explains the 2 adel clamps on the bracket. What is the reason for relocating the pump? Thanks for the help!!!!

I have a question...Why would you even want to relocate it to the lower valance? When its in the grill it gets plenty of air flow if not more???????

This is my SS front end, but same theory. I altered the mounts to fit.

Unhappy

So is it better to mount the coolant pump in the supplied position under the resovoir, or move it to the location on the new brackets? Hoipe the weather clears up soon, so I can get busy installing stuff instead of staring at it, and overengineering it!

I guess it is worth it to relocate it? How much better is the airflow? IS this just so that more air passes through the radaitor? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Not that it is "better" I just think it looks cool

Air will take the path of least resistance, in either spot it will work.
