They made this heat exchanger as a "high performance" upgrade. The heat exchanger that is supplied with the kit is more than adequate for "normal" driving, heck I am still running it! The larger aluminum heat exchanger was made to mount in the lower valance area of the GMC trucks, in the Chevy you would need to modify the lower valance. I have pics of the new heat exchanger, I painted my black so it did not stand out.

BTW the upgrade does not include the intercooler pump, but it does include the brackets and harware for mounting. Sorry for the crappy pics, I will take more when I install it.
