I just did a cam and springs on my truck and didn't have to pull the heads. You will if you replace the lifters but those stock lifters are the best there are IMO.

You Dont Got To Remove The Intake Either For A Cam Swap.

intake manifold? and if you dont have to... would it be alot easier if it was removed?

Nope,it Wont Make It Easier,just More Work In My Opinion.im Going To Do A Cam Swap On My 08' And I Dont Plan On Removing That Heavy Maggy.just Remove Front Accesories,timing,valve Covers,etc.

Take the intake off it will be easier for ya, less **** to be working around...
