Radix Question, missing coolant??

just a question, but does the radix's coolant mix with the engines coolant?? and i have heard that it only gels up when mixed with the green coolant, is this true or does it gel by itself?

THe 2 systems are completely isolated. The RADIX coolant runs through it's own pump and it's own openings in the blower. There aren't any coolant passages in the intake manifold like in the old days if that's what you were thinking about.

I have Dex-cool in my Radix res. If Magna is recommending not using it, then they need to specify that in their instructions. Did I miss something? It's not a problem switching over, just wish I would have known beforehand. Thanks for the info, Brian.

This is something that I discoverd via a friend in the service dept @ the dealer. I am pretty sure it is not going to damage your Radix, I just choose to use the green in the Radix, just like the lightning uses in theirs....works for them, then it works for me. I figure that if something comes of it over time it is better to replace a radiator than a intercooler in the Radix.

Now you got me thinking of switching to green. What is the best way to flush out the intercooler in the radix? Since I will be installing the heat exchanger upggrade this week (finally) I could change the coolant then too.
Intercooler bottle was cracked. Problem solved! Thanks for your help Brian!!
