9 1/2 LBS of boost with 3" pulley climbs to 10 1/2 at my 5800rpm shift points.
Detonation? What gives? I detonate at those boost levels on pump gas......

Blownchevy I mix xylene with the premium on the street and run 104 octane unleaded at the track.

Are you mixing about 20% xylene?

More like 30% and I add a little ATF for lubrication.

OK, excuse my ignorance, but WTF is xylene?

No problems and no detonation, just the hassle of mixing gas.

I know Parish8 ran a TON of xylene through his motor and things obviously ran well. You might ask him, but I think he said one of his O2s may have been going out b/c of it...honestly I don't know about that causing it to go out. If it was xylene that caused it, it sure did take a huge percentage of the stuff to go through it before anything happened.

Running that much power .. I would be wrried about the tranny. I can't keep a tranny in my truck as it is. I think it has to do with the tranny guy a little though.

I want to run about 12psi safely on 93octane gas. Would dishing the heads out more help me out there? Would I have to go all the way to a piston change to do that safely?
