Yep dugs are chambered exhaust, it sounds really good driving down the road but i imagine it would be very load inside.
I would put a bullet on it, or a high flow cat, both would give similar results

Dug, sounds like your main cause is the power sticks. Glass packs are gonna rasp like an SOB cuz the old school guys liked that hoakey ****.. I am not a fan in the slightest. I can live with slight rasp especially if its in the upper range because the only time I see about 3500+ is at WOT. With the 6.0 its unnecessary to rev past 2500 just cruising

when I stab it, I stab it and make it count, fuel aint cheap and my truck LOVES it haha
You might like the cherrybomb extreme then. It doesn't rasp until right at shift point on mine, tad over 2500 rpm. At WOT, I don't really hear it. I have also been told, you only hear it in the truck. Outside the truck, it has a deep agreesive muscle car sound.

Yes, I like to show off my truck, despite them being junk!

He doesnt have cats though, they make a huge difference especially the pre 03 ones(dont flow as well, and made exhaust quiter)

correct. I dont want cats either. I think I've decided on the Spintech. I will wait untilll I head JohnnyH8's truck in person, he has a spintech behind LPP's with no cats. That will be my decision breaker

The 89 has a high flow cat on it and it is full 3 inch coming off the y-pipe.

For point of reference, this is with only a converter in place, no muffler

I know having a converter will make a difference, but this one is super tiny. I don't see how it could have much of an effect at all.

I see the headers vs manifolds having more of an effect then the cats. I think you would be super happy with a cherrybomb vortex series. It sounds better then the magnaflow. It is basically a chambered muffler with packing material on the outsides. The packing eliminates alot of the unwanted sound.

I am certain enough, that I would consider buying the muffler from you if you weren't happy! I will need mufflers for my malibu anyway.

part number 88104 or 88105

I thought hooker aerochambers were best mufflers for rasp? I was going to use one but no one had the one I needed in stock so I went with the flowmasters.
