It retards the full power for 4 secs when you floor it. But with a simple tune they come alive like you would not believe.

4 seconds? It's delayed that much? Is it different from say the 99-02 vs 03-07Classic.
For that matter, since the 07-08, has more power, is it held back even further?

I didnt think they rated it with the pe delay. But then again the engines are SAE rated now so maybe they can't sneak that by anymore.
My 2000 5.3 dint have a pe delay stock but the newer ones did. Mine might have had a one second?
Everyone thinks tm is what kills the low end but I think its the pe delay.
The new ones look like there held back untill about 4000. What rpm do they bypass?
