Rebuilding a 5.3......do most use a kit?
#11
I've got some billet servos sitting in the toolbox! That will be a start to helping your trans out! PM if you are interested.
I say punch it out...5.7!! Then baby it till you get a built trans, if it has failed 5 times i would think you would have done something about it, FLT or Performabuild!!!!

Ya well I posted about going 6.0 and eveyone on the forum said it would be great but any decently priced 60e would not be able to take the power. I know there is quite a larger difference in torque between the h/c 6.0 and a h/c 5.3. I'm ver hard on my truck and I know with too much more power I'll be ruining the rest of my drivetrain. I'm not looking to chase street bikes, I just need some more umph out of this high mileage turd. I have $3000. no more. THe trans I have now is a piece of AAMCo crap and is still under warantee for another 13k miles. I mainly just need help finding resonable rebuild parts for a mild build Excluding the trans. Thanks guys,
Clint
