Default redoing my exhaust

Just ordered the 6 3" 3 bolt weld in flanges, Pacesetter ORY and a Magnaflow 12773 7" round 4" in/out 30" muffler. I already have a 4" exhaust kit and a 4" cutout. Should be alot better than the hack job exhaust that's on there now. The band clamp on the drivers side collector leaks, and the drivers side pipe is a 2 3/4" to a 2.5" x-pipe to a 3" pipe. Once everything gets here its off to the shop. Will post pics when its done.

Should be nice Andy. I guess its to late but Have u thought about having a custom y built that's 4in right after it attaches to the headers? Well I don't really know how much gain that would yeild u since I'm assuming you going to put a 4in adaptor on the end of your new 3in pacesetter y...

Nice!

Hey you wouldn't happen to know where I could find a 4" piece of that flex joint that is right after the flange from the Y would you? Trying to plan out my exhaust and will be needing one of those.

In for pics and new sound clip

I already have a 3"-4" reducer that I'm going to install right after the ory. Ive thought about using the flowmaster y which is 3"in/4"out but not sure how it would work with the ps ory. And I got an email from the company where I bought the exhaust flanges, they sold out and refunded my money. Would I be better off using the clamps or should I look elsewhere for the flanges. I'm tired of exhaust leaks. lol

well now you have me thinking, It will be about $125 to buy the Flowmaster 3in/4 out y merge, or I can have my 3-4" reducer which just steps up. This is the last time that I want to mess with the exhaust so I want it to work. So how would yall do it?

Andy, well seeing how i dont really like Blowmasters ( to loud and sound like the guy next door), i would just go with your original idea, PS Y>step to 4in> to your 4in magnaflow.. I think this would sound good, that flowmaster would be way to loud, just my 2 cents though.

It's a flowmaster y pipe. It will get at least the 30" magnaflow. I also have a magnaflow that I bought off smokeshow. I think its a 14". If there is room I'll throw that in there as well to help keep it somewhat quite.

When i drop my 6.0 in soon with either 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 primarys to 3in collectors I have this muffler to use as my Y pipe, 2 3in inlets and 1 4in outlet. No idea how it will sound, however i currently have the biggest magna single 3in ,3in center center. I love it.
this is what i bought lightly used from Atomic and will be using soon MagnaFlow 12594 - MagnaFlow Performance Mufflers - Overview - SummitRacing.com

The flowmaster Y is one of the nicest flowing Y pipes on the market. Thats what I'd do if I were you. No point in collecting it into a 3" pipep just to bring it back up to 4". The exhaust will only flow as well as its most restrictive point. That being said... damn 4" is intense! You have boost coming sooner than I thought? Thats definitely overkill NA
