Default regearing?

I have a 2002 whipplecharged 4x4 5.3 with 3.73 gears. Do you think it would be worth upgrading to 4.10s and a new posi? (i got the g80) Or you do you think i should go to 4.56s also i have no idea what kinda rear end i have, 8 bolt, 10 bolt.etc. Where is a good place to get gears cause im gonna need a reverse gear for the front i think. any help is apprectiated! thanks

An Eaton posi is very smart to upgrade, the G-80 isn't good for performance. If you have big ol' tires you may consider a gear upgrade. But with 4x4 you MUST swap front as well as rear gears. You are talking well over $1000. If you did the upgrade, I'd go to a 4.30:1 or so.

You have an 8.625" 10 bolt rear axle and an 8.2" IFS.
