Default Relocating MAF

When I build my CAI I'm thinking about relocating my MAF. Is there any real advantage to this, and where should I put it? I've heard too close to the TB causes problems.

IMO there isnt an advantage the only way I would do it is if I was building a custom turbo setup and I needed the intake to come in a certain way then I would do it. Plus I think you have to lengthen the wires on the maf too. I ahvent really looked into it cause its not worth it IMO. Get the trans back in yet?

i would try and mount it directly on a cone filter(or as close as possible). when volant redesigned their intakes, all they did was move the maf closer to the filter and it helped.

What is the benefit of having the maf closer to the filter?

Old post, but I'd like to know as well. I remember a long time ago, I think oxidizer did this and gained something...
