I just restored the venturi pump feature that was originally driven by an extra outlet on the bottom of the factory pump. In my case that would at least require a suitable T-fitting, an extra length of teflon flex tubing, some 1/8 nylon tubing and suitable hose clamps.

I would like to see some pics of the module and stock pump out of a truck.
Bringing this back from the dead (or near dead)

I'll get some posted up later tonight.

Here's the filter and reg out of my truck

Looks like the regulator dumps fuel back into the tube that leads to the venturi. What if you took all this stuff out of the bucket, and ran an outside reg, then ran the return directly back into the venturi tube?

Disassembled for clarity. (maybe)

04 connector

03 connector, maybe the same as f-body

Big size difference from 03 (small one) - to 04 (big one)

Remember, these are disassembled at some stage

Good pics. Confirms what appeared to be the case from other pics I have seen. The waste from the FPR drives the venturi pump so that function is not lost when you do the Walbro pump swap. This is why the trucks perform better than the Avalanches after the swap. Looks like your plan for a return style conversion might work with this bucket style. Will also give you more reserve if the filter was on the inside of the bucket.

What are the dimensions of that 04 bucket(height, diameter)? Center to center of the 2 rods?

Any pics of the bottom outside of the 04 bucket? Shots looking down into the empty bucket?

Maybe you could even drop a second bucket/walbro in the tank alongside the main one and split the return to both of them.

What connects to the nipple on the top of the FPR? Looks like there 2 ports on top of the filter. Is that correct?

Actually, the little nipple on the fpr looks to be a vacum nipple, like it's the same one used up on the rails, on the earlier models. Nothing connects to it in this instance.
