I'm reusing mine after my cam swap at 155k, didn't even think twice about it, I've only got about 500 miles on them since the swap though.

I have been running the HS 1.7's for a while now too. No issues with the arms themselves. Same as budhayes, had to clearance the PCV **** inside the valve cover, nothing a dremel didn't make short work of, after i found where it was hitting.

I did have a bolt break on me, after a hard downshift and romp while merging. Scared the hell out of me, made quite a racket. pulled the cover, took out the broken piece, a trip the sears hardware and it was all fixed.

how will a rocker arm affect lift duration? I can't see how thats possible.

Im ending up going with the comp trunion upgrade. The stock rockers work great and with the upgrade it pretty much eliminates any way of needle bearing failure.

I am going to get it later though. The engine is going in Wednesday and im just going to use the stock rockers for now. Get the comp upgrade later.

Got it. The step to 1.8s makes perfect sense. I thought we were talking about 1.7s. btw, did you get my PM?

Thats what i did! $140 shipped for a setworks for me. I know some high HP guys that still run the stock rockers. But I like to be safe. They took 15 min to press all 16 in, and 10 min to get the old stuff out.

I wonder if I should go ahead and do this before I build. Add more to the wish list.

These are the rockers that I run as well. The initial setup/adjustment is tedious work, but I haven't had to touch them in over 40,000 miles. I also liked getting rid of the factory stretch bolts for the ARP studs & pushrod guideplates that come with the kit.

The "quick lift" geometry in the crane rockers somehow gets the valve off(and on) the seat quicker, and "seemingly" adds duration, while increasing valve lift at the same time. They work very well, but I think alot of guys are not willing to pay the price.

I'd run them if I had the dough, but yes they are pricey. Aside from how well they've been proven to work and how reliable they are, I like how you can get your pushrod preload spot on
