Did you have to do any modifications to the heads to make those type work?
They look like rail type roller rockers. Is this correct?
How much did you pay for them?

I made no mods to my heads at all. I clearanced my valve covers a bit which took all of 20 minutes and that was it. I bought them off a friend for $280 bucks.

These look like the adjustable ones.

Yes if you can spare the extra change. They are a nice upgrade over the stock ones. They come with a roller tip. Our stockers do not.
I would stay with the 1.7 non-adjustable ones. 1.8's if you want to go with the adjustable ones.

They look similar.. Mine are still the Sportsman series but non-adjustable.

These are the LS1 Jesels. Im too lazy to take my valve covers off.

Jesel does make a 1.75 and 1.8 rocker too.

Good install link: http://www.jeselonline.com/docs/inst...INS-SS0030.pdf

At the risk of incurring the wrath of some on this thread, let me offer my $.02. The only reason that roller tips were ever put on aluminum rockers is that a hard roller bearing was a quick and easy way to get a hardened surface to ride against a valve tip. If you ever looked at a roller rocker with a strobe light while the engine is running you would see that the roller tip does not roll, it slides. Check it out; I have hundreds of time and I have never seen one roll yet! For a roller tip to have the right diameter to work properly with the arc of the rocker the roller would have to be 1 1/8" in diameter! Think what that would weigh! You can tell that the roller tip on roller rockers is the wrong diameter just by looking at the tip of the valve, they all eventually wear a groove in the valve tip! The roller tip as an advantage in a rocker is really just a bunch of hype, there is absolutely no HP there at all. The radiused arc on the tip of the stock rocker is actually the proper radius of contact. Like I said, it's just my $.02 and you probably won't believe me, but take an "open top" valve cover(to prevent too much oil sling), hook up a timing light, put a mark on the roller tip and watch it, it slides, it doesn't roll!! Therefore the roller tip doesn't really constitute much of an upgrade!

i don't think a roller tip does anything but i think the roller rest of it would, compared to just rocking
