i ran the slp's in mine with no problems and that was with a 529-532 cam. they are a direct replacement unit with no adjustments needed. just torque them down like the factory ones.

Are those for a 6.0 or 5.3?? Or are they interchangable?
Are they 1.8 or 1.7 ratio rockers?
Thanks,

Jim

With this thread I'm reminded of the "buddy bumming a cigeratte" routine. Got a cigeratte? Got a light? I don't like Marlboro's. Need a kick in the **** to get your lungs started?

Sheesh dude want someone to come install them for ya also?

Crane / VHP variable ratio 1.8 rockers will fit under stock valve covers, are full rollers, are adjustable, come with new pushrods, and look pretty nice too.

They come off the seat at a 1.89 ratio, and around .250-.300 lift they back down to 1.82. marc_w installed them on his Silverado SS recently and said that he felt a gain. There's a few guys in the internal section that also have had sucess with them. Chevy High Performance did a quick article on them this month, and hinted at trying them on a 5.3 Silverado next month.

The most difficult part of the installation seems to be setting the lifter preload. They are a little pricey though.

There's nothing wrong with me getting every bit of info I need to do this.
This is what we are all here for at this site. If you want to bitch about me wanting too much info, go somewhere else.

No, I really don't need help installing them physically. I can unbolt and rebolt pretty well.
I definitely do not need your help!
Just stay silent in my posts please.

Another vote for the Cranes. They were a real boost on my 5.3 Tahoe with a 210/218 .531lift cam. Idle is smoother than stock and great seat of the pants improvement. They are as quiet as stock and they fit under the stock valve covers without any problems. They are a little more than some other rockers, but people with the others seem disappointed in performance and complain about the sewing machine noise. Absolutely no noise with the Cranes. You only get what you pay for! I got mine at VHP in Orlando. They are a sponsor on the site (Vinci High Performance) Check their site out and look under the tech info section. It explains why they work! Good Luck!
