Default Rollermaster timing chain problem ?????

I am installing a roller master timing chain. the problem is the new crank gear pulley in the kit slides on by hand all the way and usually you have to tap them into place the last little bit. Is the the way these are made or did i get a bad crank gear.

Hmm, are you using an ASP Crank Pulley? I think they need to be modified a bit. There was a recent post about this. I'll post it if I run across it.

Are you sure you got the right one? Is it possible to get the wrong one?

according to the box it is a 1140, which is the one i assume is for the SS's. It lines up properly, and looks totally fine. It just doesn't press on to the crank. I have it totally installed already and just tightened that crap out of the balancer bolt, so it shouldn't go anywhere. I guess i will see how it runs
