Not to be a dick but if you want to be credible then I am going to need a little more to go on here. And I mean more than I drive an expensive race car and we use RP cause the RP people said their stuff is good. What evidence, test or proof of any kind do you have that there is any benefit to using RP over other brands?

Also for the record I'm not looking for the oil that give the absolute best HP numbers, I want an oil that will let me abuse my engine when I want and still run for 200,000 miles without giving it a full tear down after a race.

I don't think you ar being a dick at all and I don't drive an expensive race car. I don't know if you noticed that we were talking about one thing and sgtgeek changed what we were talking about. HTHS and film strength are not the same thing.

It was a good diversion that most people will not catch.

I really don't know what proof you are looking for or what I could post that would make a difference.

Some people on here know who I am and know that 99% of the time I don't post about oil.

I will let you know it is what I do for a living and chances are you have seen me on one of your favorite TV shows about cars bikes or trucks maybe even racing cars

Truth is if you are using a quailty oil and filter with regular oil change intervals you will get 200,000 miles on that engine.

Mine has 80,000 plus with around 100 bottles of 150 shot run through it and still rund great and uses no oil between changes.

10,000 oil changes with a filter change at 5000.

Ok that's cool. I just don't know who you are or what you do.

Can you explain the differences or benefits of film strength vs. HTHS?
From what reading I have been able to do I have found evidence that suggest a higher HTHS is more important for longer engine life and less wear than film strength measurements.

I can help you with that. Just not this second.

I have a few meetings I need to go to and contracts for 2008 I need to finish this afternoon.

I will post up later.

he still hasn't posted any facts and won't tell who he is...i guess the fact that he's on a tv show is suppose to mean something...post some USEFUL information, not just "i'm on a tv show" and expect us to take your word for the gospel.

I posted a link to what I think is some useful info. post some of your own facts about the situation
