OK, so VOA is Virgin Oil Analysis. Is that the base stock or the oil "In the bottle"?

And would "UOA" be Used Oil Analysis? What is HTHS?

Always good to see cold hard facts instead of "I've been using 'Brand X' for 10 years and never had a problem".

is the penzoil platinum a synthetic oil?

by the way, I've met 2redgmc and I know he is a very knowledgable guy that knows his stuff, and well all the highly words about oil is confusing me!! so I cant comment on it... with my 5.3 I used nothing but mobil1, on my 6.0, I used regular oil for 100miles just to flush out the engine, then ran regular oil for 1000miles, changed that out to that semi-synthetic, back in July/Aug, and have about 1000miles on that, and now im here trying to read to see what synthetic oil I wan to go with... so yall hurry up and make a decision... and yeah thats right, I've only put about 2kmiles on my truck in a year!!

Sorry I don't have a home page or anything like that.

What I do for a living is work in the synthetic lubricants industry.

I lecture at 18 different campuses around the country on the fundamentals of basic lubrication. Including what's true and what's not when it comes to what you see posted on the net.

I work with all kind of race teams all the way from SCCA solo1 to F1. I don't work on the cars just the lubricants.

And I have been lucky to get to work with some of the best builders in the US and have been invited to work on 7 different TV shows.

So that's me

just a car guy that likes bikes also.

One last thing that might give it away

My 61 Panel truck and 05 chopper were just on the Power Block on Spike

I just figured if you own these that you must have a very close affiliation with the company.
