Default running silverado ss exhaust on non ss

I've noticed a few people running a silverado ss exhaust on their non-ss trucks. I was wondering if these flow better than aftermarket cat-back exhaust systems? Also, does anybody know the part number for this?

A lot of the Silverado SS guys are getting rid of the stock exhaust because it is restrictive. Somebody over at silveradoss.com cut open a stock muffler and found that the two 3" pipes going in neck down to a single 2" tube inside the muffler!
I'd say look at aftermarket exhaust systems...

Yep, I've got one on my non SS truck. I've did heard that it does neck down inside (according for Flo-Pro exhaust) but I did notice a nice gain in power. Since it's designed for the HO 6.0L that puts out 345 HP & 385 TQ, I figured it would flow well enough for my 5.3L engine. It's not loud, I think it's quieter on my truck because the 5.3L is a smaller engine and it has less compression than the SS's 6.0L. It has nice quiet rumble to it but I like it, I don't like loud. For me it's a nice fit, the only thing I don't like is that it's a single pipe, I like the turn down dual tailpipe look like on the Crown Vic cop cars.

My silvSS is still running the stock myffler and is making some pretty good power. I love the exterior sound and the interior quiet. Unfortunately, I think there will be a better muffler performance wise for me. I may go with a Magnaflow and try and keep the stock tip. I want the sleeper look / sound.
