I bet that made a hellacious noise.
yea man, i paid high dollar for those! it actually didn't make any noise at all. what it did do was build up enough crankcase pressure to blow the dipstick out and finally enough to blow the passenger side valve cover gasket out! oil oil everywhere!

I did some work to the '70 Olds I had, and forgot to put the little nipple back on the (mechanical) oil-pressure sender line, and it blew out when I started the car. A geyser of oil shot straight up, got deflected by the hood, and rained down on EVERYTHING. It took a long time to clean up.

Not much time to talk but.... ROD BEARING.... and I am pissed. It was the # 7 that failed too. JUNK Looks like new motor time already have one spotted. Techs I have talked to think I might have spun it too high but my limiter is only set at 6250. Not sure but that is what happend.

So, junk 5.3 shortblock (still runs) good 5.3 heads with 918 springs with EXACTLY 2855 miles on them.... magnacharger side mount SC with an assortment of pulleys and belts, run for EXACTLY 8893 miles and in good conditions ... and a 212/218- 522/529 114 lsa with EXACTLY 2855 miles on it will be for sale soon.
