Default Safe boost levels and other questions about turbos. . .

What is the acceptable amount of safe boost on an L31 2 bolt main Vortec 5700? I know Vortech's centrifugal blower setup says on stock 9.4CR they run 6psi, just interested in what's the best power vs. longevity I can get from this motor. Motor is recently rebuilt to stock specs with about 6K miles on it, so hopefully it's good to go

Depend's on how good your rebuild was, and your tuning skills. If thing's are right it should take 10psi and last awhile. Anything over 550~600 FWHP the mains are going to walk a lot.

I'd like around 480-500 FWHP maybe and the tuner will be good, so hopefully I'll be alright. Thanks for the info.
