Default SC 1500HD Gtech screen shot

Thanks to Parish8 for hosting this pic.
This is with a full tank and my 9yr old son in the back seat cheering the whole time.
All three are stall about 1500 and 2 & 3 had some wheelspin but the first one hooked up right away.

I'm just curious here but a 15.11 is the best a SC 1500HD will run??, I would think mid 14's would be much more likely....my 5600lb non-HD 2500 with exhaust, intake and tuning will run a 15.32 in cold weather. I would think that the weights of our trucks are comparable and the engines are the same....so how much time did you knock off compared to before the SC

I'm REALLY not trying to bash you or your truck at all, I'm just confused......

I hear you Yelo. Your guess is as good as mine since I never ran it at the track or had the Gtech till this week. I think with less gas and leaving the boy at home will get me under 15. I noticed that Neil 6.0's 1500HD ran a 16.01 stock.
Also, I noticed the superchips tuning has it shifting below 5000 if the Gtech is correct on rpm. I am going to have to have farmtruc fix that sometime soon since I think the superchips tuning could use some tweaking.

how much does a 1500HD weigh??, I know I weigh ALOT less than a 2500HD (6600lbs)....in fact, I weigh just about what a ECSB 1500 weighs (the non-HD 2500's aren't much more than a 1/2 ton frame with heavier-duty suspension components)

Well, the curb weight is listed as 5506 so adding me, stereo stuff, magnacharger, etc... its gotta be over 5700, probably closer to 5800 with my son in there.

I'll send it over. Its only running 5.5psi maybe 6peak. I do need to get to SA sometime and let farmtruc have at it when he gets his dyno installed.

here is one of the easiest features to use with the gtech, adjusting your shift points, i bet there is at least .1 to .3 to be had with shift points. in the screen below you can see the large drop off in TQ at the shift point, there shouldn't be any. a surge up or down is ok but overall is should be a smooth curve. if there is a rise you are shifting too late, if there is a drop to eirly. i will also put up a pic of one of my runs with the shift points at 5800, you will see a smooth curve. lots of area under the curve to be had right there.

Thanks a bunch Jim

Looks like I have some work to do in the tuning dept. I'll need to check the superchips tuner that came with the truck to see if it will let me adjust the shift points. I remember when I loaded it that it did'nt give me any options. Maybe because it is a magnacharger specific tune.

Thanks again. I'll post up when I get the shift points worked out.
