scoggin dickey Z06 cam package
I've seen peoples opionions on the Z06 cam in trucks, "its power band is too high" "loose low end power", Someone I spoke to in the GM-trucks.com forum installed a LS6 cam in his 6.0 HD and was quite impressed. The SLP hot cam seams like its too ridiculas for trucks and would need alot of tuning. Scoggin dickey has a package with the LS6 cam for little over $1,000 you get the cam, crane rockers pushrods guide plates, LS6 springs retainers etc. Has anybody here put a LS6 cam in a truck here?

Re: scoggin dickey Z06 cam package
I have the 01 LS6 cam and springs in my 1999 5.3 Z71. It added 32 rwhp (partly because the 99 had a really weak stock cam). Torque was up about 10. In the really low rpms, it is weak. If you can get it to 2500 rpms, it starts responding well. I would not recommend it if you tow heavy loads.

Re: scoggin dickey Z06 cam package
Just checked SDPC the package has changed, for $575 you get the LS6 cam perf. springs titanium retainers, rollmaster chain, balancer bolt and manley pushrods that i'd think are compensated to have the correct length. I'm assuming LS1s and LQ4s have same vavletrain geometry? What kind of change did the cam swap make at the track? LS1 edit I know is the best but the stock PCM should respond ok to the added cam timing right?
