RPM Range will always vary on application, but the cam is not a torque monster, so don't expect to light the tires up without gears and a converter. Mine pulls well past 6000rpm w/ ported heads, but again, every setup will differ. All in all, I think it would be a great camshaft for 4.8 with some gear.

I have a stock converter and 3.42 gears. Can you recommend a cam with good torque? This is a 4700lb reg cab long box 2wd. Stock it made 223hp and 221tq at the wheels. I'm running stock size tires also.

If you plan to stick w/ stock converter and gear, I would look at doing the Comp 212/218 High Lift (.558/.563) on a 115. It will not have near the dead spot as our 214/218 on a 111.

LS6 Springs will work just fine, and I would use Manley push rods. We sell and stock both.

Thanks!

Quick update. Put the truck back on the rollers Saturday. Only change since the last dyno of 292rw/290tq was E-fans.

Thanks! It'll make a legit 300rw pull someday.

3.90s will make their way in soon, dropping rwhp dyno #s, but then a Powerbond 25% UD Pulley should even things up. Hoping the gears eliminate some of the dead spot and net a mid 15 in 4000' of air. This pig needs a diet and a converter!

Under 3k. Of course, it is a full weight CCSB with ported, big valve heads and a 111 LSA camshaft.
