SDPC 5.3 Build

Dyno #s can be skewed from one dyno to another; different conditions, different correction factors, etc but 324rw/364tq is good for what you have, especially on 22s. Got a graph?
We should have mine back on the rollers soon for some tuning and I'll post new numbers. Only changed were 3.90s and a NNBS Intake, so the two may cancel each other out.

Yeah.. I wanna see what's up here... especially since my 4.8 is kickin' 160k and... maybe a 5.3 upgrade would be good. And... SDPC is only a short 45 minute drive from my house.

No bare heads at the moment, but I can try to get some done and get some pics posted.
It hasn't gone back on the dyno yet, but a noticeable difference was felt. Also, MPG came up 1-1.5 MPG average.
This Friday, we will be @ Hobbs Motorsports Park in Hobbs, NM and I will finally have a chance to get 1/4 mile timeslips for it. I will use the 1/8th mile numbers and correct them to sea level as I did earlier in this thread to show gains. Hoping the truck will do 15.90s. 4000' DA and 6000 lb truck w/ stock converter and 3.42s (3.90s sitting in box at my desk ). Stock trucks around here will run low 17s, high 16s, so a 15.90 will be a vast improvement.

That's a 10% MPG just about.
This truck would benefit soooo much from even a 2500 Stall, but I just can't bring myself to putting a converter in the truck before I put one in the car. It needs one desperately. 119mph trap speed on a 2.0 60'!!! Yaaaaaa!
You said it man! Definitely a great bang for the buck cylinder head. Will try to get something for you/everyone soon on bare heads.

Not sure what the 119 trap speed on a 2.0 60' means?

Better airflow, better tune, using less throttle (fuel) to get up to speed. It all factors in to increased MPG
It doesn't matter if your truck has a convertor 1st. Does that mean it'll be faster than your car? If it makes u feel any better, prior to my Radix, my truck was almost as fast as my car, which was no slouch for a "pretty stock" 20 yr. old car. Now tho, my truck will annilate it. And yes, it had a convertor b4 the car.

I was referring to my LT1 car. It ran 12.24 @ 119mph w/ 2.0 60' on the 150s.

I should mention I replaced both front o2's, so that helped MPGs but ya, tune was catered to FI. But still, more power (alot more) & improved MPG's. A solid winning combo every time.
I sent ya a PM too.
