Don't be swayed from running a stroker solely for oil burning reasons. Do your research and see who has made your power level and what it took to get there. As far as longevity goes it depends on how hard you push it. They break the same.

i would chat with some well known builders then make a decission, HKE in houston builds some awesome engines, they would be one of the few i would call and just see what they have to say, and what they think would work well for what you have now as for as turbo.

All discussions seem to end with HKE as the premier LS engine builder.

There a lot of 408s out there. I hear they burn oil and etc.... But how many first hand posts have you seen with this issue?

I ended up with a forged 370, just because the deal came up when needed.

As I understand it is because of how high the rod/pin is in the piston.. The pin is often through the oil ring groove... Stroker pistons usually have the rings higher on the cylinder...

So does anybody know why the stokers burn oil? I've heard that they do, just don't know why...
