Don't let him fool you, he built a 408 for one of his trucks that's been sitting in the garage waiting for a victim!
I'd say go 408, boost reacts better to stroked motors anyways.

lol. yeah what he said ^^^

To me, there are wayy to many 4 inch stroker cranks running around to have MAJOR oil issues. How many engines do TSP and other sponsers put out? let alone local build ones.

how bout a 418 a 427 a 434 or a 500 plus tall deck block. i think for the money a 370 is the way to go. that 1k crankshaft worth the few extra ponies a 408 makes?

Thing is that a stock crank can take the hp of just about anything you can throw at it.. I am staying under 900 crank hp gents... I will have a complete stout *** bottom end for under 2k... With the good ****.. No dragster here lol The 370 should get me the times I want, from all I ahve seen and from what these guys are telling me.. After talking to some people I think that is the direction I am going.. The guys I talked to actually talked me out of spending more money with them, which tells me they are good people and not out to stick it to everybody..

Does anymore make a forged L92/LS3 376? Besides the added cost of the block, wouldn't this be the way to go? Lose 120lbs AND pick up cubes (in my case .2L)...???

I don't want to build a aluminum block that I am going to bore and throw 14+psi at.. If I was staying all NA then yah it would be a good route...

Just doing some quick searches, the LS3 block is verified to 1500 HP by GM engineers.
