Told ya they are easy as hell! It took me longer to get my Y-pipe down than it did to change them out.

See I think that was my mis-step...not dropping the Y-pipe down! Hell I would have paid you gas money each way + $$$ to help me with mine. That still would have been cheaper than the ****** tow I had to do + reinstall.

LOL ... that's my number one rule ... if something's in the way, get it out of the way.

I gotta say too, my Y-pipe is prolly a whole lot easier to remove than yours though. Those headers get it right down close to the bottom. All I need is a 14mm socket, small extension and a ratchet.

Yeah but still, I got bent for $100s that day...I'd rather have dropped that Y-pipe out... I have many a' extensions to get that bitch out. hahahaah

I used the Vette servo, and I got the Trans go today, i got it for $115 at my local performance shop. Im gonna start the install tomorrow, I dionthink It will be too bad. I saw the video and I've done much more difficult things. I'll let you know how it goes. The servo worked really well, I felt the difference.

if this happens it will bogg just after shifting into second for a second or two then pick up again and take off. the fix for this is to buy a billit accumulator housing. you should be able to get one from trans go, or any aftermarket transmission shop.
Hi 01Thunder,
I thought I might have had this problem so I dropped the pan and removed the 1-2 accumulator housing. The housing is aluminum and the piston is plastic. I cleaned and inspected both of these parts but found no cracks or defects. Am I looking at the right parts? Is there another 1-2 accumulator somewhere else? Could this be a servo problem?
Here's what happened... right after I installed the Whipplecharger and with factory programming I went for a WOT blast and had a real hard 1-2 shift. It was so firm in fact that it broke the tires loose and the truck started to go sideways. I have to admit that it caught me by surprise. I never expected a neck snapping shift with stock programming. Anyway, that was the only time it had a firm 1-2 shift. Since then I have the exact same symptom that is in the quoted section above. Do you have any ideas on this? I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have.
Thanks,
Gene
