i was cruising into the office this morning. going to zaino my truck today. i noticed while i was driving the SES light came on and started blinking. so i slowed down, and it stopped. any idea what might be causing the light to blink like that??

i was doing a little over 85mph...okay, well a lot...but the road was wide open so i could not resist...so more like 85-120mph for about 5-10 minutes straight...

Go get it checked for codes. Generally blinking SES is bad.

Maybe clogged cats or something.

 

i'll get it check monday. it has only done it at high speeds...so i am not to worried about it...if i have time i'll get it checked today...

misfires. not good

 

misfire like tex said but you can count how many times it blinks and it will tell you what cylinder but i dont know how you are suppost to count it.

 

Like Bigtex said, its misfire most likely. A blinking SES light is a Catalyst Damaging fault. Did it feel like a miss/rough running? or did it just start flashing?

 

it just started flashing...truck was running great...kept pulling after 120mph...i looked down and the light was flashing...

got the truck scanned for codes. nothing showed up. i'll just take it easy for a little while...see if i notice anything..
