Default Setting higer shift points and rpm

ok what is the safest rpm for our trucks to go up to. 5800. im asking this cause when i program it i dont want it to over rev. also how much more mph should i do per gear. 4x4 truck with 373s

I have shifted at 6k with stock valvetrain with no problems at all. I would not go any higher if you have your stock cam.

ok tiburon ill prob set it to 5900 rpms. so rev limiter set to 6k and then 1-2 upshift raise by 3 mph and test same as 2nd to 3rd etc

There is probably no reason to go any higher than 6k w/ the stock cam. I think peak is around 5400 if I'm not mistaken. 5700 seems to work best on the 1-2 for me.

6k seems a bit high because it wont really pull that hard all the way up there with the stock cam i say put it at about 5800 unless you have a cam to finish out the top end

I have my shifting at 5500. I am spraying a 125 shot. Do you'll think I should raise it any more and would i benefit from it at all ?

i have my boss' truck shifting at 6100 for the 1-2, 5900 for the 2-3 and 5500 for the 3-4. it's a stock 5.3.
