no, they arent the yellow springs, they are ls6 springs. and i put a small dab of loctite, torqued to 24 lb. ft., and triple checked em. they will be fine, they were just really loud after the initial install.

yeah I'd upgrade to HPTuners or a similar piece of software. Don't get me wrong, Wheatley does a great job. Since your'e already this in depth with your motor it should be a pretty easy switch to a full tuning suite. You'll love it, trust me. PM me if you have any questions about HPT.
