call Dave @ Rock On transmissions in Denton, Tx he will build you a solid 4l60e tranny. Tell him Jerry sent ya!!!

Some people have had the rear go and then take out the tranny. I HOPE this is not the case for you

i'm certainly interested in knowing the cause. if you're not spraying off the line, the rear should have held up without question. in fact, the trans shouldn't have had any issue either. did it break on the shift?

Could be the output shaft on the trans. That Eaton shouldn't have broke. Those are some strong little guys. I've made several 12 second passes on mine and I know that others have too.

Parish got his Eaton into the 11's and took it through how many .. 3? .. FLP lvl 4 transmissions.

Parish is also launching in 4x4, much easier on the differential.

Good point ... but the wheel spin he was getting as well as the bucking action should create plenty of 'shock' load on the differential. Probably a lot more than a hard shift or a nitrous hit.

I called Randy's ring and pinion about my eaton being loud. The said to use a rear end additive from ford motorsports. They said it worked a lot better than the gm and you know what, it did. the stuff smells bad enough to choke a billy goat

That sucks man. Doesn't make alot of sense, seems with the eaton and century built trans it should've been fine. Especially since you weren't spraying. Good luck gettin everything worked out.
