short block
Hello, I was just contemplating what to do with my truck, and thought that a LS1/LS6 swap might make for one fun truck. What would a reasonable price for a LS1/LS6 short block be? Could I bolt on my accessories, intake, fuel rail with no problem? What could I do for the planned future boost when I have the short block? TIA

Re: short block
Im going to swap in most likley an LS6, (The 4.8 will suffer a nitrous filled, fiery, high redline, death first) Im thinking that if I get an GM performance parts long block LS6 with EVERYTHING, I can sell the stuff Im not going to use, to recover some of the $6,000.oo cost.
My plan is a truck that can wear a Z06 badge with pride.
A basic LS1 long block can be had for half the cost and will swap right in with the truck accessories only one redundent bolt on the AC will not fit, it will work with the stock PCM however LS1-Edit is recomended.
Your 4.8 heads will fit the block with a nice bump in compression, but not flow as well as stock LS1 head, mild porting will get them on par.
Any other opinions..
