Default Short block assembly

What kind of assembly lube do I need to use? Im realdy to start putting the pistons in, and realised I didnt think of this. Do I just need a thin coat of oil like doing a cam swap, or use the old school lube?

This isnt a new build, just a piston/rob/bearing swap

Old skewl lube.

I like the LubriPlate, but Federal Mogul makes a nice assembly lube too.

I have a bottle of GM (EOS I think) assembly lube. The assembly lube is a little thicker than regular motor oil to stay put until the engine is ran.

gear oil works . . . . remember to "prime" the engine with the plugs out before you start up.
