Default short block swap

soon Im going to get a ls1 Im just going to swap the short block and use all the truck stuff. the only questions i have is, I know you have to use the truck oil pan but what about the oil pump and the oil pick up tube. and would you put new rings and bearings on the motor before swap to freshen her up or just put her in

one more question, Ive been doing some research on head flow. is this right the ls1 heads flow the same as our 5.3 heads so there is no point in put the ls1 head on when i do the swap just use my heads?

Use all the truck parts including the oil pick and windage tray. The 5.3 heads will bump the compression ratio up and make more power.
