Yeah, just haven't researched to see if it was good for my new bore size. I knew it was either that, or a 1041. 1041 is a much better gasket - composite material. If TEA tells me I can use the composite gasket with the o-ring'd heads, that's the one I will go with. Just quite a ways from that stage, so haven't really worried about it yet. It'll probably be the 9199PT again.

I'm using the 9199PT gaskets because TEA said use Graphite and Keith Craft said that I needed at least .052"compressed thickness to have a .037"piston to head clearance the 9199PTs should give .039"piston to head clearance. If you know of a better graphite head gasket let me know and I'll buy it.

I think the felpro is a good choice. I'm not sure if the GM graphite gaskets are easy to get. I've had one set last year, but they were shipped with a head order from ARE, so I have no idea where they got them.

I'm thinking about going with a BBK throttlebody to flow more air with my ETC.I read somewere that a Radix can flow over 1350cfm,a 05 Corvette 90mm throttlebody would be better.

Didn't blownchevy post that it wasn't worth it?

It would be nice to get the porting done by Apten. Never did hear from brian if that worked out for a Radix, or not.

I'm thinking it would only be worth it,if the throttlebody became a restriction.I talked to Apten, they said that the Radix supercharger is already ported, that there is very little they can do to improve the flow except maybe porting the intake tube.

I got to lookin at my intake tube, if a larger TB is used, then I think the opening on the itake tube could be opened up a decent bit and still have good flow. I noticed the actual tube is larger than the opening. I think some of it is done to accomodate the bend in the tube right there as well. If I were to get a new TB, I would be doing some port matching with the Dremel.

whitt, the motor sounds wicked. I think I am fixing to build a high boost ls1, prolly stock ls1 cubes, just different pistons and rods and some mild heads. It will prolly be a while before that project wraps up though since so far I've got about 2k tallied up in my head and I still haven't counted for heads and the oops factor.

the motor combo sounds great, I've got the 6.0L sitting in the garage now, and I'm toying with the idea of waiting., and sending it over to AP engineering and have the build a 408 shortblock w/ it

Hurry up and get that beast together. We're all on pins and needles to see what that thing can do. I'm curious to see how the Radix performs on a stroker.

Why did you choose the Radix over the Kenne Bell? From what I've read, it seems the Radix is designed more for stock applications and the Kenne Bell seems to be more for al out performance. There just seems to be more adjustablity/ potential with the Kenne Bell.
Is there any truth to this...
