Default Shorter exhaust piping, different sound?

I've been thinking of getting rid of my tips and just cutting my piping off short after my flowmaster chamber. My question is will it sound different at all since it's going to have basically no piping after the muffler it self? Also is that bad for my truck in anyway or is it okay?

Been running my setup open Y no muffler for almost 2yrs and nothing harmed my truck so you will be ok dumping it after the muffler. It will make it a tad bit louder tho..

Okay thanks, but will it still keep a nice little tone to it or will it sounds like those beat up old trucks that are missing a donut gasket? lol

sorry for asking so much but one last question. if i do cut them out do they have to be dumped downwards or can i just go in there with a saw and cut them straight back without having to get them bent? Any input will be greatly appreciated
