Don't get the shorties. Go with some mid or long tube headers.

The shorties give a nice little gain, but for a little more, the longtubes are more noticable on the gains, look cooler, but are more work. Some exhaust shops will not make you a new y pipe, cause technically it is against the law to change or modify any emission item before you have 60,000 miles. So you are looking at twice the money for longtubes, and having to drive around until you get your y-pipe. In my book worth it, unless you are going to turbo charge your truck, then the headers will only be a waste of money to get the turbo to work.

I like the TOG's compared to pictures of the ASM's. I've also read on here that people have a real hell of a time getting them in there too. I did my TOG's within a couple of hours by myself.

If you go with the TOG's there is a guy down here in Marshall that will do a bang up job at coating them, not to mention he's a super nice guy. He only charged me 100 for doing mine. They did run a whole lot better than not being coated, and made it run a lot cleaner too.

I like the fact that the TOg's have no seems in the primaries and are just one long pipe. The ASM's have seems welded to all of them. I think the header flange is a little thicker on the TOG's too. I just don't think the build quality of the TOG's can be beat.

There is a GP right now on the TOG headers through Tbyrne. Last time I checked there were 5 out of 15 orders. They are $599 and an extra $150 if you want them ceramic coated.
