Nope, I was just going to leave them uncoated. One reason I want the mild steel version, is theyre easier to weld. So if theyre problems with leaks by the ypipe it can be welded up.

i have the pacesetters.. got them like 2 years ago... no real problems.. the driver side one is a tight fit to get it in there.. if you have trouble than pull the spark plugs.. it gives you that extra little bit of clearance.. unless you undo the steering shaft which i didnt...... and also if your going pacesetters id order som 3" band clamps from jegs and not use the clamps that come with the kit... the ones that come with the kit get stuck and are a pain in the but to get loose when you have to pull that 4l60e down....

TSP cancelled my order. LPP look more enticing since I just found out they have free shipping. So its 500bux shipped to your door, headers and ypipe.

you can weld s/s with a regular mig welder using regular wire... the weld may rust after time but no quicker than the same weld on a mild steel header..
i wouldnt reccomend doing a whole s/s exhaust system like this but if your just welding a s/s pipe to a galv pipe it will work no problems.
