Default Should I put a diesel exhaust to quiet the truck down?

My exhaust is too loud! My current setup is a 2300 tvs with long tube headers to 3" collectors, gutted 3" cats, 3" X pipe, dual 3"magnaflows and extended the exhust togo over the rear axle. Its just too noisy. With the slippy converter its just to racy for my style. I still want to have good flow but need to tame the noise.

Does you exhaust actual exit from under truck or does it dump under it.

I dont think you will find that a single 4" helps noise unless it is built to your needs with a lot of mufflers. I think your best bet is to find a way to add in another set of 3" mufflers to what you already have.

I have the same question...

If it's dumped under the truck at all, it's still going to be loud since it will reverberate under the truck. So until you get it pointed out the back or side, it's still gonna be kinda loud.

I have it going over the rear axle and dumps where a spare tire would be. I have two mufflers at the moment side by side. I am wondering if I go down to 2" dual's maybe instead of 3" all the way back. IDK. I love the flow I have but dam the noise. I hate to ditch my custom exhaust I have now as it flows killer but the truck is just to loud.

Add two resonators before the mufflers and it will be alot better.

I ran a vibrant ultra quiet res before my magnaflow on my sierra when I went catless.
