shouldnt i have iron heads on my 6.0L?
i thought most truck heads were iron? i have a '01 HD with the 6.0L, just happened to notice it has aluminum heads... ive always complained about this truck being sluggish and having no power... just making sure someone didnt swap in a junk motor before i bought it.
also, just to make sure, where are the block #'s located and whats a good site i can lookup the numbers so i can make sure its a 6.0L?

Neg, HD trucks have the same 6.0's the other trucks have, 2500-2500hd, denali.. The early 6.0's are the only ones with the iron heads.. Late 00 they started to put aluminum heads on the 6.0 engines( ALL OF THEM lq4 and lq9..

well i have a vortech v-2 sitting in the garage... soon as i get the money for the missing oil lines, a blow off valve (5-speed) and some piping and an intercooler it will go on. that will take care of the sluggish-ness
