Just Ditched the AirRaid put on K&N GENII Intake Kit, Cut EGR tube, Bypassed T/B Hot Water line, MSD 8.5 Superconductors. And I noticed A BIG difference.

Welcome! Its always good to see another Houston guy in here. Thats a good E/T. Sounds like you are on the right track with the mods.
Headers are always a nice mod, same with 3.73's and a Auburn posi.
Do you ever go to Pasadena/DeerPark on the weekends to play on the street? If you do, We should run sometime. I'm out there all the time.

I think I saw you, Yellow shortbed with the filter out of the Airaid box ? With what you have and what's on the way, What are your expectations ? I agree with what BigJ said, and I would add a torque converter to that list. If you don't plan on towing anything I would get a Yank 3200 or bigger. Welcome to the site and if that was you, that is one nice looking truck.

That was me. I think a torque converter and Auburn W/3.73 gears would have been my next mod but I just ran across this deal and could not pass it up. On the the way home from work to day I went by a salvage yard to find a 5.3L crank and found a complete 5.7L Long Block at a good price. I am now the proud owner of a 01' 5.7L out of Trans-Am. I am going to build a STROKER.

Nice find. I'm jealous. What salvage yard did you go to? I have been looking for electric fans from a 93-97 LTI but I have had no luck. Any suggestions? Keep us posted on the stroker.

No No No Me first. I'm working on that project already. You will like the Auburn and 373's. That's what I have in my truck now. I'm really not sure which block I'm going to use. I have my old 4.8 long block that I pulled out of my truck. I may explore stroking/boring the 4.8/5.3 block.
