Looking to get a new truck. Dont really want a truck but blew the WRX motor. A little to much nitrous So i need something to get around. Cause driving the SS with a baby seat in the back isnt practical. Nor is it fun to get my son over the roll cage into his seat. He seams to enjoy it.

So i am looking at a silverado. I need a truck for haul our displays for shows and pull a car. I like driving sporty cars. That is why i am leaning to the SS for the sporty looks. I know its not a tire fryer but i perfer the looks over a normal silverado. Or should i wake up and just get the 2500 w/ the 6.0 and heavy duty tranny and be done with it. The diesel is not an option due to getting there are no 04s left. And there are sweat deals on the 04s.

There is approx price diff of $4000 for the SS vs the 2500. The SS is load with no options necessary. But the 2500 i can get some 20s and be done.

What to do? I am all ears

You tow with the SS, is that before or after the C5R? Would you recommend some one to tow an inclosed trailer for a long distance?

The SS has a pretty high towing capacity. I think its like 9,000lbs. Go with the SS for comfort and looks.

If you really have to tow an enclosed trailer I'd go for the duramax it is worth every penny and there has to be some left out there.

I tow four quads in a steel 26' open trailer, and I had a 24' Baja it pulled with no problems.

I towed as stocker and then with a Radix on. The radix really made towing easy......

I will tow with the new motor set up also......

I think the towing capacity for a stock SS is 7,500 lbs.....
